can anyone help me out by telling me some various brand names of toluene..?

also are there any brands of lye other than 'red devil'?, as i dont think red devil lye is sold in this country..

for educational purposes only of course..

Lye is caustic soda. It's easy enough to find. Dunno about the other one.

Swis had a problem finding toluene so used

xylene if that helps. The devil brand is

excellent brand for base, no additives like

some other brands that contain bits of aluminum or metals that you don't want!

btw.. do the metals and stuff in the other brands of caustic soda have any serious effects on the finished product? or the actual process itself..?

also, does anyone know the names of some brand names of toluene or xylene that i should look for..?

SWIL has dreamed many times over with "Xylol", same as xylene. It will work like Tolly, as it has similar properties. Naptha is another NP that can work. It's not quite the same as Xylene or Tolly, but it has it's uses!

Red Devil Lye is simply NaOH. It can be ordered Lab grade in most places without any concern.

Can't say for sure, but over here most caustic soda is 98% NaOh. It says so on the label. Sounds lab grade enough to me. So I doubt it will fuck anything up.
