Povidone in 7% iodine tincture?
I know, I should know the answer to this already, but it seemed like I got good results from both with or without povidone (I believe I'm spelling it right).
But, is povidone, as an ingredient in 7% iodine tincture, something you prefer not be there, or is it fatal? What exactly does it hender? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've been curious about this, too, for I know that povidone is a binder in the cold pills, but I don't know what purpose it serves in iodine.

Re: Povidone in 7% iodine tincture?
Ok...here we go again. All I did was a search, right here. I typed in the word "povidone" and there it was. But I did have to read a few of them till I came up with...Posted on 4/10/03 entitled "Question about iodine crystals". It was posted by Loutre Bottom Mistress. Read what tryptamine says about it, it's a few replies down the list. YOU'RE WELCOME
