reaction vessels
would like any feedback on diff kinds of flasks---i was taught to use an 'erlenmeyer'flask or boiling flask--now, the catalog i order from has a plethora of diff flasks----boiling, erlenmeyer etc....they have two diff erlenmeyer flasks one just states that its a plain erlenmeyer, then they have erlenmeyers that have a vac connection and then they have ones that have 24/40 joints...??? is the 24/40 the heavy-duty kind...do i need this...hell, im never going over 160 degrees so i dont really have to worry about having a heavy-duty thick walled flask right?---- HELP

Re: reaction vessels
Get the heavy duty thick walled, with a 24/40 connection. It's the most versatile connection used, and the thick walled should last SWIU's cooking lifetime.
Go for a round bottom flask. They are better for mixing and cleaning.
