I just did a cut and paste for that over in another thread. It's the newest method, using less peroxide by Geezmeister.

Give it some time. CH will be back. It's just making some major changes.
Things should be back online soon, but some "kinks" are currently being worked out.
Keep the Faith.

Ooooh! Fucking idiot. Why bother posting?
Anyone other than this dickhead:
SwiM has solved his problem with I2, but he's dying to check the yield. How long must it be left wrapped over epsoms before it can be checked? Is 24hrs enough?

This motherfuckin totse. I just posted a reply that took me a fuckin hour. when I got up off the bed, I hit a key or something OBVIOUSLY WRONG, and the son of a bitch went to another page. When I returned, you guessed it, gone. Every god damn unsaved word.
Sorry masahed, I'll try again later.

Thanks dude, much appreiciated. SwiM say's he managed to muddle his way through. Although it would still be nice to see the original.

Well Crank. The Iodine starts the reactions
with your other reagents."the cooking"
I hope that helps you

Re: Has anyone got a copy of the "Making Iodine" CH archive?
First, let me say
riff--iodine is the most important part of the reduction reaction. It and water form hydiodic acid which reduces pseudo to meth.
masa--sorry about screwing up your name. I didn't even realize there was another name so close to yours until you pointed it out. I'll go back and change it now. Didn't want to until I made this post.
Gott with swigotta about the iodine from 2% tincture and he said to tell you the super simplified, just a few words version. I thought he was joking and tried to explain that gotta doesn't do anything with just a few words and he gave me a piece of paper with it already written down. Of course, if I wrote what he did it would look like this:
I did this. Do the same-
1.5 L tinc.2%-- jug 1 gal.-- hcl 34% 750 ml. --stir-- wait 20 min.-- H2O2 1.4 L. add 250 ml./min.-- stir cont.-- freezer 2 hrs.-- remove-- filter thru paint strainer 2 layer-- vacuum-- rinse well DH2O-- vacuum dry-- coffee filters 15 roll-- squeeze under foot-- repeat-- break up rock-- weigh-- small jar on cardboard-- cover with jar-- freezer 6 hrs-- remove-- weigh-- clean dry jar inside big jar-- epsom salt-- lid tight-- done.
Not happy with yield 86g. after freezer--before epsom dried (24 hrs)
Sounded ok to me, but he was upset because he had to get some sleep and didn't refilter the leftovers. Probably would have been at least 6-8 more grams.
You know, not only is shit like that impersonal, it looks like jibberish to newbies. Take a look and see what you think. Perhaps a fully notated version will follow. I have to quit making promises as this is taking too many life points. Ya know what I'm sayin'?

Re: Has anyone got a copy of the "Making Iodine" CH archive?
Nice one. Ta SwiG.
SwiM says he has 500ml of 2.5% ready to roll but found his first experiment FAR too easy, which suggests something was overlooked!!
Now he has something with a bit more substance to work with, he's back to his happy preoccupied self!
He hopes he didn't come across as petty with the marased thing, normally it wouldn't matter, but if you read the guys posts (when CH returns) you will understand why he wanted to make it clear that it wasn't him.
He already has his own incompetence to deal with, he don't want someone else's! Haha.
