Hypothetically, if the str8 2E extraction method is done correctly, is there any red color in the results? If not, what could cause this? Can it be corrected?

Important fact left out, Generic sfeds (red-hots) are the starting material in the preceding.

If they are not de-redded before the extraction, then yes, there will be some reddish-pink present. VE suggests using the de-redding technique that works best for SWIU before continuing with the Straight to E.

these are the dull red type, I read in the egull method the outer layer consists of some of the main excipients and washing will cause yeild loss. Can the pink results be used as it is (approx.6g) or should swim just shit-can it and start over with something different?

Never trash pseudo. It is ALWAYS recoverable. It will just take experience and patience.

In SWIU's case, just do an Acid/Base extraction, followed by an alky extraction and recrystalization.

SWIK very recently str82ed a bunch of redhots. The only problem he ran into was that the pills take FOREVER to dissolve in the boiling solvents...SWIK would have been better off if he had followed his instincts and crushed the pills up beforhand. Other than that, yes, there is some red color in the results but it does not affect the RXN.

Red is better then dead, and in young Schwel's case he mine as well be dead with his BLUE Tavist stock (HaHa). Schwel said he tried everything to de-gunk em. He used 303, MEK. Toulene, Colemans. Nothing worked out for him. Schwelly thinks the blue-gunk wont even allow a standard funnel filtration to occur without a grip of smurf-juice seeping on through. Thus also somehow causes absolutely no yield with standard VE. Young Schwel is an absolute idiot. Tipped him off telling him not to quit his day job.

Swim will try the A/B. Swim also found red hot do not desolve using the volume as described, swim thinks around 3 times that volume was needed to desolve pill mass. (70ml ea iso/naptha per box was actualy 210ml ea per box) Would this make yield drop to 5g from 7 boxes?

As with anything, experience will increase yield. Swigotta is a testimony to this. Don't know how many times he was embarrassed to show the pill runners the amount of pseudo extracted for all of their hard work. If you save all of the pill mass leftovers, you can reextract them when you finally hit that groove. Let me tell ya, there is a shitload left in those low yield leftovers. Take my advice, throw nothing away until you are relatively assured that there is no significant amount remaining.

Some pills do not dissolve. Tombstones kick ass though. How ironic that the hardest motherfuckers to extract (the ones with the patent number on the box.)would turn out to be the easiest, highest yielding (for Swigotta) of them all. They hardly even need to be rinsed and give up almost 80% so far. If they just weren't double the price of the dollar store white 60's, I'd have to slap my pud right now.
