Separating diphenhydramide from codeine
I've got some syrup that contains only piphenhyrdamide and codeine. Is there any way to remove one or the other from the syrup? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question; I know fuck-all about chemistry. Thanks.

Re: Separating diphenhydramide from codeine
Nobody can help? Can someone at least point me in the right direction? Maybe one is much soluable in water, alcohol, or lipids than the other? Maybe the diphenhydramine will break down at high temperature?
I bought the syrup in Lagos because I had a cough and the runs. I'd like some plain codiene with nothing else, but I was in a hurry and jumped the queue and had to do a bit of talking with the pharmacist leading to folks behind me getting pissed at the ibom holding up the line. In any case, I don't need the anti-cholinergic effects of the diphenhydramide, and would like to be able to deal with my symptoms without also being knocked out. Help a brother out.
