I have tried various pills, from cheap equates, to dolloer generals, to maxi's, to the green and blue box efedrin, red white and blue box of double action ephedrine multi-action, and the black and gold box of ephedrine, and the 120's. A couple of the boxes have guaifenesin in them. Is this stuff bad? If so, how do i remove and get the ephedrine hydrochloride?

guaifenesin (pronounced gwy-fen-e-sin and known here affectionately as guai), is a well-known over-the-counter (OTC) medication of long standing use.

It is usually used as an expectorant to loosen mucous in lungs so you can cough it up. guaifenesin is the active ingredient in many cough and cold medications. Usually when obtained in cough and cold medications, it contains other ingredients which make it unsuitable for our purposes. Pure guaifenesin comes in 600 mg. prescription strength tablets

I'm sure that one of the updated extracting methods will do away with this addative. You might know too had you done a search, that's what I did...: )

Anything other than your desired isolation, is "bad". You should always strive for the cleanest possible product, good rule of thumb.

Clean is almost a thing of the past.

Stick to the first two on your list and you will be fine.

The results of the final product from using Video editor's new extraction technique are just in and maybe, just maybe, they will get posted sometime this century.

This method definitely produces very clean pseudo from P/8's, L434 and 450, 257's, and (I forgot the number) L? dollar store tombstone 120's. No need to run separately. Just chunk them all in together. I'll repost this, but 434 & 450 don't melt. You have to crush them.

Oh and the one that is bad for you is the pseudoephedrine hcl. I've heard that people are making drugs from it that are bad for you.
