Default Testing NP's for dryness.

Well SwiM don't know shit about chemistry but he's come up with a way to check his NP's for dryness, he just needs confirmation.

He's chucked some rock salt into some test tubes & poured his supposedly dry solvents into them, the salt has not dissolved after a couple of hours. Does this confirm that they are completly dry?

If they don't dissolve salt does that mean that they can't dissolve pfed HCL?

He thinks so, but would apprieiciate some feedback on this.

Thanks.
