Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
I'm sure I posted this already, but can't find it!
SWIR has been around the scene for almost a year now (probably nothing to you guys, but.. yeah) and swir was curious as to what goes into the little crystals swir have seen here and there.
Trying to ask my connect is a dead-end, seeing as swir is a girl, and he's very protective of me and my friends. He will only divulge into it as saying, "theres a lot of shit in shit, you'll blow up"
or "when word gets out you may be cooking, some crazy motherfucker will blast you".
swir and friends can't ask his cook, because the guy is an asshole who always cuts his shit anyway.
So for the past few weeks, swir and friends have been searching 'the net looking for answers. They would have finds like, "oh my god! heres a recipe!" then to find out by cross-referencing that it is bogus. swir doesn't know where they have looked, but swir has been lurking here on totse, as well as other sites such as rhodium and thehive. They found the curbshot "Meth"od to be the most simple way to start out as newbies. Swir has enrolled in chemistry next semester, but that is in weeks to come. Secondly, they don't think they could ask their professor on extracting pfed from actifed or sudafed, seeing as the county they live is reconized by authorities as one of the most prolific for methlabs. so they come to you guys, veterans, the know it alls.
swir knows the information is not so easily given, because everyone all started from somewhere. They understand if swir gets blown off here, it was for her own good.
BUT- in theory, the curbshot style synth. Would it be a good training excercise for someone who wanted some for personal manufacture, not for big time slanging? Say... someone didn't want to sleep during finals week or what not, they could whip up a batch of help. They don't want to try anything without complete understanding, and They know this might be a project that will take a long time to plan.
Is this a real synth, no bogus? How is the smell? And is the product actually pretty good shit?
Any help is appreciated --save from LordMighty.
Thanks!
Aspiring Chef

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
Hey reefrsde... Don't know if this will inspire or discourage.... Swirh has put many many many many (did I mention many) hours into this and probably would not have continued if at first try had such sweet dreams unlike any he had ever had before! The road since has been very rocky and difficult and nothing like the first--until the last dream... Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Now, don't get me wrong.. if Swirh had of had that first dream on say, the third night.... He prob would have never made it. But as a wise man once said--"There comes a time when you have too much blood, sweat, and tears invested to give up." So true and also very tragic..lol.
IMHO, the nano would be wonderful as a learning tool (was to Swirh) to learn from the screw-ups and well as slightly larger but still small dreams. Swirh knows (or at least hopes) he will continue to learn with each passing night and I am not professing myself as an authority in any way. I am merely conveying a simple soul's struggle to better understand something that he doesn't (which really pisses him off at times and makes him wish to do it more). Swirh would read, read, read (maybe some more reading) and if something is not clear and you can't find an answer that you are totally comfortable with (given moderate intelligence, of course) then ask. The worse things that could happen is that people will ignore or flame you (Swirh has the Nomex lining going so he am not afraid, lol) and the effects will wear off eventually with lots of therapy. Swirh would suggest the class tho.. and would suggest a couple of other helpful tips you may/may not have considered.
When procuring different bedding materials... use common sense and moderation (or at least be knowledgeable and have a reason just in case). Play the part for whatever you are looking for and things will go much easier. Or find a very very select friend if needed. You mentioned living in a bad county...hey the next county or three is not that far ya know... The other thing is to keep YOUR business to yourself and there is only ONE person to blame. You sound young (just from info given) and probably will think that Swirh is preaching (he is on a sort of podium/soapbox today isn't he??) but this is probably the last thing you would ever want to do in the long run. But, if you must... The more people that know the much much diminished odds you have of not having a split tuna sandwich every night after lockdown ya know?? Something to think about. Maybe some of the other much more qualified than Swirh can help/enlighten you... Just relaying what Swirh has observed/learned.
While at it (on the rambling rant here) Swirh would like to give props to LukkyD, Gotta, Acidmelt, Geez, to name just a few. All have helped/inspired Swirh directly/indirectly for which he has great respect and gratitude. Cannot say that enough... I hope that this help reef somehow.. Wow, someone needs to go somewhere outside ALONE, lol. The workshop is callin.. Peace.
Hehe, Cindy....gotcha point there. Words are forecoming at times and that was exactly how they were posted in Swirh's brain, lol. Ramblin...

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
^Paragraphs are a virtue, sweetheart.
Curbshot's Nano is a fine place to start. Assembling the ingredients is the greatest challenge. Pay attention to the "smack down" and all updates at rhodiums. And the final reduction should start with dh2o, not h2o2. And no, the candle involved won't cause an explosion if all instructions are followed in order.
Practice and patience...plus lots of reading. Enjoy.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
Redhorse, thanks for the post... kinda all over... who is swirh? (nevermind, duh)
Thanks for all the help guys.
Deadlycindy... final reduction...dh20 h202? Which step was that? swir is looking over it and not really seeing which part you are talking about.
swir is finding that the extraction of pfed from the curbshot recipe is outdated, swir is reading that VE has a better method, swim will try using that. Comments?
But anyway, thanks guys! You've been more than gracious.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
I began this post sometime between red and cindy's posts. I had been going back and forth between about a thousand things, not to mention I had been up for about 3-4 days straight. (yeah, I know, not smart, but sleep deprived psychosis is really quite a ride) Well, anyway I'm back and I'lll try to finish. In case you can't pick up on it, I left off when I was trying to find you that damn link to the rp removal technique. I have pieces of it all over my computer, but not one complete document. What else is new?
I am speechless...........ok, whew! glad thats over.
This is the most normal, intelligent, worthwhile post I have seen in quite some time. So, of course, I must crash it.
So far everyone knows how to spell and make complete sentences. That may seem like a joke, but its not. Some whom I greatly respect (like Acidmelt) are excused because they are very busy and do not have time for capitalization and structure.
Now, redpony, that post of yours freaked me out so bad, I really wondered if you and I are the same person and I just don't know it yet. Everything you said is exactly, sometimes word for word, what I would have written. Especially the part about how she sounds so smart and young and fine......wait a minute. You didn't say that. It must have been.........As I was saying, your life experiences sound a lot like a guy I know. Eerie......
Reefer Sadie Hawkins--
Lets see..........where to begin......
Well..............
AAAALLLLLRRRRIGHTY THEN! Yep, that waqs it. The perfect place to begin. Now, with that said, I would like to share with you a few tidbits that MAY help you along the path you have chosen.
My buddy SwiGotta(really) is a kind of savant. With some things he is a total goof (his wife will certainly attest to this), but in other, less recognizable ways, he is brilliant. For example, he knows the color of paint and the original tire brand, size, and tread design for....hell, I've never seen him miss one that I have ever taken the time to check......so every car manufactured in the US since 1960. Its very impressive, but also very useless information. We've known him forever, and never thought much about his disability (I won't talk about
where he is lacking because he reads here and he is my friend. Its not that big a deal anyway.)
What the hell is this. The I love SwiGotta post. Damn, this is some really good shit.
OK, OK, OK!!! Settle down . Take a deep breath. Now, think. Short and sweet. Wrap this personal stuff up.
I found out that he can also follow directions in a way that almost always achieves the desired outcome. Hard to explain, but I write it down in a way he can understand, he does it, and it either it works, or he knows exactly where it went wrong. So, I try to fix it. So on and so on.
Horsey, you did this to me. Speaking about rambling on makes me ramble on.
For real, here it is.
Start with the Rp. Match book striker pads. Drugstore house brand, NOT NAME BRAND. NO GEMSTONES!!! They cost too much and they suck. You want $.99 for a box of fifty. Reread redhorsey, he's right on the money concerning procurement. Get about 60-100 boxes for a good starting supply. For playin' around, it'll last ya a good long time. Reusable too. No scrape, it comes off with a shake. Method-hive(don't speak. Slip in quietly. Find post in digest or FAQ. Forgot the dudes name. Someone, lukky, help me out. Best RP removal technique.-----
Wait a friggin' minute. Fuck the Hive. I posted something from SwiGotta's notebook that is perfect for ya. I'll go find it. Be right back.
Either totse is really messed up or posts are getting lost. Can't find it. Somebody that knows what I am talking about, please put up the link You can find "best red removal", but I can't find "information of value". Thats what I get for posting procedures in other peoples threads.
Let me see if I can get through this. It was a simple idea at first, really.
Learning this artform is best taken in steps. Starting out as a racecar driver before you get your learners permit would probaqbly not be a good idea. Same holds true here. Start with Rp. Figure it out taking lots of notes, clean up the mess, stash it away safe and secure, then go to the next step. It really is that simple.
Next would be the pseudo. This is, by far the most frustrating part of the deal. You can try VE's method and I can vouch for its efficacy. There are a few requirements, though. You can't do it in a dorm or apartment. You REALLY NEED a basement or garage The whole solvent thing is hot, smelly, and dangerous as hell. Naptha is notorious for spittin' and burpin'. Plus there are several technique dependent steps where it doesn't matter how well its explained, you have to do it just right. We can help you, though when you get there.
Iodine should be last because it is the most unstable. Its messy, but extremely easy. Its also very cool to see the shiny silvery grey crystals form. (or maybe I'm just wierd.
The rxn is the least amount of work out of them all. You do have to set it up right, though.
Post rxn. is another one of those highly technique dependent procedures. However, Swigotta has worked out a very simple way for himself, but in my opinion newbees as well, to get their shit out of the shit.
Curbshots method was the first one I wrote for Swigotta. It was incredibly inspiring because of its simplicity, but I never once had it done the way it was written. Way too sloppy and wasteful. I posted a modified curbshot nano here. It is still the one Swigotta uses today (and the method used to make the very stuff I have been wiggin on for the past 4 days) for all his nano work. Just tried to find it here to no avail. Luckily, I have it saved. If ya want it, ask. I'll cut and paste it up. It'll be a hell of a lot faster than writin it from scratch.
PROCUREMENT.
Probably the riskiest part of a simple "for own use only" cook is the gathering of starting materials. Red horse hit on it, but its something you must examine in depth. Have a good plan with many contingencies. If you have partners, gathering is much easier. On the other hand, the more people who know what you're doing, the greater your risk of bad happening. 1 or 2 is as far as I would go. Go over every possible scenario with your peeps. No scenario is too stupid. Its the stupid ones that really happen (ever seen cops?) Going in buying 50 boxes of matches is a little noticeable. 10 places you mapped out yesterday and buying 5 each isn't too bad. Besides you have a really good story about that bar you work at and that absentminded boss of yours that you are going to OFFER UP to thwart off any suspicions before they ever come up.
One more thing. Just because you are in the self check area doesn't mean you are not being watched. Itactually means hjust the opposite. Cameras in those areas are much higher resolution. If you don't have the nerve to walk throughthe line with 15 iodine tincture bottles in your hands, then make sure you go in there not looking like yourself.
I'm almost afraid to push submit. I know this is going to be long and newbees hate to read long posts. If you did, I sure hope there is something in it worth reading. I didn't feel like proofreading this long assed sucker. Sorry
Jik master deluxe, signing off.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
MadMethodist did the writeup that SWIL follows for obtaining MBRP. With a few minor changes, the method still works quite well.
Listen to SWIGotta, use off brands! A buck for 50 is dead on. It don't get better, unless ya buy in bulk. Even then, it will only save SWIU a few bucks.
Try to avoid HCL boiling!!! That is dangerous shit. Anyone who has ever handled a jug of HCL will attest to this. Soaks will do just as well as long as the RP is powdered or at least of smaller consistency.
SWIGotta:
With great power, comes great responsibility. Use abilities wisely, and learn self-discipline while around the honey jar.
Like Pikk said, get some sleep. Bee safe.
Doesn't 3 days get chaotic??? SWIL ca't handle that shit anymore. Only chronic nowadays!

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
Man, lukky, if you came over and watched Swigotta when he's all wound up, knee deep in a project, you'd be so nervous you'd have to watch from the stairs.
This dude has played with chemicals for so long, he doesn't think anything is too dangerous. Granted, anyone who has never done this kind of thing before should avoid procedures that are not completely necessary, but things like boiling the hcl and sulfuric acid steps sure does accelerate the process up to warp speed.
You are right and I am psychotic. If you do not heat things like acetone and hcl and sulfuric, then make sure you increase the amount of time needed for these steps at least 5 times. I'd make it 10 times if it were me. But its not. And lukky, this info is not for you, its for people who are still trying to develop their techniques. Many times I don't really think about how dangerous something may be for those lacking experience doing ridiculously stupid things with volatile chemicals.
Oh, yeah.
I'll get plenty of sleep when I'm dead. With the way my life is going, I should be so lucky.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
Hey Gotta... far as boiling some of those volatiles...Swirh uses ghetto boiling stones with good results... This is not an original idea but Swirh liked the concept after large ominous bubbles erupting all at once have the tendency to make him test the strength of some of his bodily fluid retainment muscles, ya know? Swirh uses the decorative glass beads that are flat on one side and kind of oval shaped (like a marble that has been stepped on really hard if u can visualize). A few of these little suckers can really relieve some not so fun rushes that occur at moments...lol.
<for Cindy « --the space-->
For someone that is starting out also a fire killing system of sorts is very recommended. For someone that is starting out also a fire killing system of sorts is very recommended. Swirh hopes that you get his drift here. No matter how much that people tell you; a person is gonna have to screw up somehow before they see the real danger... hope you first (and prob not last) fire is not too bad. Seen a post about using wet potting soil versus extinguisher...don't know who can't remember so I can't give props but Swirh likes that idea immensely... Friend of Swirh had extinguisher with small fire and can of tone. Friend slung can and fire followed...Now a less than small fire...So out with the extinguisher and viola!! Fire everywhere! Blew the shit all over the place. So after a good old fashioned country tap dancing session (nice visual there lol) everything was ok. Hope any of this rambling helps...

Hey Wicked....sorry bout the memory lapse... Thanx for the helpful hint... Little things like that mean so much for Swirh.. Yep, he hasn't had need for the soil, but the logic is immpeccable. (Wish I could be so creative hehe). Great idea... almost as good as front pockets on bluejeans..

I did just yesterday or something like that. I forgot where, but I think its in the thread by tadpole. It rambles on, but just save it and cut out all the gogo commentary and you should have what you need.
I gotta get that super simple post rxn. posted, but I'd also like to stay married.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
oh my god i have so much to add to this story. if I wasnt piss drunk and have to be to work in less than 3 hours i would have a post 2 pages long. fuck. i have a lot to catch up on here, but i will eventually (tomorrow hopefully) catch up and gather my inputs. redhorse, gotta, lucky, you guys all kick ass and have good info, I just have my own touch ups on on the whole scene so dont be offended and please feel free to add what ever you want. this is a great topic and I am glad to see it here. much better than the immature shit that has been posted here lately and for that i want to thank you all. this is what lab tips should be about.... mature replies to intelligent researched questions. this topic has given me hope for totse afterall. thanks to everyone that posted in this topic.... you all deserver to be here.

Whew!!
I thought you had either died or worse yet, fired up Chemhead without letting us know. (yuk, yuk, yuk)
As always, your comments and refinements are more than welcome....hell, they're expected.
You are right, this new crew is outstanding. It sure beats the hell out of playing knuckles with sleepy and needlewussy all day. Ahhh, the good old days. Argueing over ephedra herb and pressure cookers for two pages, now that was fun.
NOT!
Anyway, I'm gonna post something that is really against the grain as soon as I can find the time to explain it fully. Swigotta is really such a simpleton, he can't seem to refine his A/B skills to an acceptable level. Now he has a new thing that is way too simplified for any of you guys, but may be good for those who struggle.
Remember that when you're lyao and cracking your knuckles getting ready to flame me to a cinder.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
Hey Gottagogo,
Let's say that Gemstone's were used in the
RP production, and yield was not really the
question due to a surplus starting ammount.
Let's then say that the extracted rp was
then washed 3x with Iso, Toulene, Xylene,
Acetone, 2x with boiling H2SO4 & HCL then
finished with 4x Hot DH20.
Let's say the color was bright red, and was
in a very fine dust form.
Would using Gemstones matter then?
Thanks.

Re: Soup Can Synth---Real or BS?
Sorry its so late. The only thing that would matter would be the red clay content. It cannot be separated by reasonable means. Also, the color should be a deep maroon. Other than that, if you're willing to do all the extra work and allow for the clay, go for it.
