120's gel . following Monkeyboy's tone cracking of the pearls, and 3 decants as well as 2 frizbee pulls, SWILT followed Geez's IPA (isopropal alky right?) recrys. Swilt heated up ISO and dumped all yealded pseudo into it. should have dropped a tsp for test but didn't. It gelled and was stuck with thick milky crap. frustrated not knowing how to recover (if there is such a way) I dumped it.

Is this a case of NDMF vs. DMF? 40$ worth of generic 120's waisted! Could someone please explain NDF vs. NDMF in noob terms and what to follow?

okI think I figured it out. DMF is the pills require a non-aqua / anhydrus extraction. NDMF can use NP's containing trace amounts of water?

DMF: Should use waterless A/B, using dry Non-polar solvents. Alky extractions are pretty much impossible because it gels up and turns all milky. The shit will never settle.

NDMF: Alky extraction or A/B, either will work.

I remember some time ago when Swigotta tried his hand at stripping the pseudo away from the 120 albino security guards that come with every pack of time release pseudo decongestants.

If memory serves me (and often it does not), he did it with nothing more than tetra, acetone, and denatured alcohol.

I'll have to look through the file pile again and see what he did.

I am pretty sure the yield was low. Somewhere around 50%.

If you ask me the white 120's aren't even worth it.
