If Swis were to do a nano w/a 50ml flask, does the temperature around the top of the flask stay cool enough not to melt the rubber on a heavy duty balloon. Wondering due to the long cook times. Swis doesn't have a reflux condenser. As always Thanks

use a stopper with tubing coming out of it and then connect the ballon to the tubing. the heat should never be hot enough to melt the stopper. pay close attention to the temp

SWIL has never had a problem using the balloon connected straight to a salt shaker. But, it should be noted, that SWIL usually runs longer, lower heat reactions(around 135 F). They are easier to control, and produce less impurities due to high-heat.
