Default Little Help

alright, i've done basic chem (thats yr 11) so im not the greatest chemist out there and im not the worst...

anyways...

i was visitin the local hardware store the other day and i looked through some of the labels on garden products. i found a product that consisted of "41% nitrate as ammonium" is this the same as ammonium nitrate (as used in explosives) and can the product in this concentration be used without extraction and if not, what methods of extraction will i need to use?

also, there were products containin sodium nitrate, calcium carbonate and pottasium nitrate. are any of these products useful (their concentrations in the product were 13%, 2$, and 4%, respectively)

if anyone would help out it would be tops

cheers
