Thanks for ur reply on my question about BLUE benedryl, It contains 60mg of pseudo hcl, I know I dreamed of it being used instead of redhots because where I live all those products r behind the counter where as these blues are plentiful and not watched as closley.My question is would you extract them the same way? acetone to remove color soak in d alcohol filter soak in d water in freezer filter and be done? I have read so many sites about pseudo extraction that the more methods I read the more confused I am beginning to get .I would love to have one reliable source that wont get pissed at my amature questions. a dreamer such as myself just has had more dreams,and also if when You dream about extraction is it anything like mine?If not anything you can share would be most helpful. ok here goes: inactive ingredients corn starch,croscarmellose sodium,dibasic calcium phosphate blue no.1al.Lake,Hydroxpropyl Methysellulose, Microcrystalline Cellulose,Polythylene Glycol,Polysorbate 80,Stearic Acid,Titanium Dioxide,Zinc Stearate. ......whew thats alot the other active ingredient is Diphenhydramine Hydrocloride 25 mg and of course pseudoephedrin hcl 60 mg thanks for your reply. hope to hear from u soon. I know this product can be used with pleasing results.I dreamed I used to be a runner for this (only BLUE will work)Just got tired of running and began to have more profitable dreams.

you're lucky, pikk is known and trusted. Since I don't know what he said and I have one foot out the door to take the wife and baby for a ride to settle her down (wife or baby? probably both.) I'll try to be brief. hahaha

So, I'd like to throw in a few tidbits until you figure out if you need any clarification.

Dyphenhydramine is a antihistamine. Chlorpheniramine and tripolodine are also antihistamines. Swigotta has always used tetrachloroethylene to remove plastics and the antihistamines, so PROBABLY it will remove the dyphenhydramine as well. I have nothing to back this up, just an opinion.

Swigotta never worried about the blue. By the time it has been tone washed and dual solvent recrystallized, there is hardly any blue left. What is left makes a pretty purple post reaction solution of no ill affect. These days the dual solvent has been replaced with a xylene crash which will help get rid of that blue as well.

Bottom line--don't sweat the blue.

Swigotta never used DH2O at any stage. This is mainly because it takes too damn long to evaporate. Freezing the alcohol works the same (I would think) and since the alcohol won't freeze you don't have to watch it.

Don't use methanol or isopropyl for extraction purposes, they just seem to pull more gakk (or so Swigotta seems to think) Denatured is cheaper, has less smell, and just seems to work better.

No matter which route you take, it's always a good idea to do one last acetone crash before reacting your clean pseudo. These days the xylene crash may be a cleaner alternative.

These days, Swigotta has reverted back to the old fashioned way with a twist. He does nonpolar boils and soaks using VM&P Naptha, Toluene, and Xylene and lets them set for a day and a half or so. The twist is, he mixes the three together and does the whole thing at once. After that, two acetones for a few hours each and a tetra wash dried out real good. Then two quick 20 and 30 minute alky pulls with a third left to sit overnight.Combine two pulls, freezer overnight, filter, reduce till thick, crash with xylene, heat it up, cool it down, filter pseudo. Heat, cool again. Filter more crystals. Finish with acetone crash. Clean, white fluffy pseudo.

This is great for those who want to break it up into steps with plenty of time in between.

well gotta i gave him VE st8 because i think that newbee need to start with something i know that works. then when thay get that down thay can do what thay know will work from experance .

well first of all not that it makes a difference but this newbee is a she. I have dreamed working with of other otc meds. just not this one and I couldnt find anything to read on it. I have just found it easier to buy and not draw as much attention as redhots.Blues are still on the shelves,I dont like having to ask for redhots I live in a small town and dont like to draw attention to myself. I appreiaciate the help. Anything else I need help with in the future I hope I can call on either one of you. any other helpful hints please dont hesitate to to fill me in. I still have alot of dreaming to do yet.just want to be safe.

I'm a little drunk, a bit stoned too, so bare with me please...

Remember that the Dry Matrix Formulation(DMF) is present. This consist of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(HPMC) and microcrystalline cellulose(MCC). ONLY use completely dry solvents. It is recommended that Non-polars be used.

SWIL has ta disaggree SWIGotta, he likes the sweet smell of MeOH over that of denatured, any day. But maybe it's just that d-natured brand that he uses.

A word to all New-bees... Learn the A/B, it is the most important thing that a beginner can learn!
