Glassware
Tried posting this in labratory tips, but to no avail...
anyway, my freind and i are gonna set up a lab in his garage. Now, really the only hard and expensive part will be getting glasswares. I don;t know how boris could afford all of his...
We were looking at the kit on UN and it seems good i guess for only $40. Does anyone else know any other sites or places were i can get glassware semi-cheap? thanks.

Re: Glassware
I never buy glass off the web, but I just called a friend..he's a chemist(and my glassware supplier), and he said you might want to take a look at this article: http://www.the-scientist.com/yr2001/nov/profile_011112.html
Registration is required. Fudge it if you don't want to be deluged with offers to buy lab equipment. His company uses some of the sources listed.
EDIT: Wozzles, where are you..very roughly?

Re: Glassware
The reason me and boris could afford our glassware for so little, is a gractous totse member named Global Dominator, i got about 75 bucks in stuff for 30, and boris got all the rest for a great price as well, only thing is that once im done with my stuff, i must pass it on as he did to me, his last stipulation.

Re: Glassware
Lab tips do have too many meth heads. I'm glad not to be one of them.

Re: Glassware
If you're just starting out, and you're going to be doing nano amounts, perhapse you should looking at how to make your own ghetto flask, ghetto condenser.
I have this tiny 250ml flask i bought for $3. I'm sure you can snatch tiny ones from school or something if you go to school. I dunno. haven't gone there in a decade now.
anyways.
think shet up man.
I've seen the ghetto coffee pot method with ghetto condenser attached on top.
i've seen lightbulbs being used as flask.
test tubes
u name it
tweakers have done it
