I2/RP/PE RXN question?
I got a synth a while ago for the push/pull.
I've changed it a bit from bits of info i acquired here & there.
In the synth when you place the flask (which is on sand in pot) on the stove it ses slowly turn stove upto 150 degree's, then 180 for half an hour, remove after the violent reaction dies. Is this right or should it be left on the stove for longer time at lower temp?
Most probaly only be a small rection without using push/pull tanks & kinda clean PE.

Re: I2/RP/PE RXN question?
I always used the push/pull,I used the rule of thumb to add alittle dh2o after the big dance and heat back up to temp and let reflux about 15min more to make sure all the E was reduced.ALWAYS worked for me.
