All of the articles on meth production on this site seem to be missing one crucial pointer: The point at which you may or may not suffer a painful, firery death.

I've heard nothing but horrific stories regarding home meth labs, mostly relating to massive fatal explosions.

At what part of the production process is there high risk of explosion?

In addition to the standard disclaimer before each article, shouldn’t authors of these articles be more detailed as to the life threatening portions of their instructions? It all seems too casual, too easy and far too non-threatening. Are these methods for real?

NOTE: I am in no way interested in manufacturing speed.

The ingredients that include lye or shit that helps start your car are the flammable part of meth production. Acetone, too. I must warn you, though... it's hard as FUCK. My friend and I quit trying to cook a week ago; we never made SHIT.

A good question for Lab Tips! I think at least 75% of the posts over there are meth-related.

Highly flammable solvents + heat here and there + wacked out up all nighters =potential BOOM!

There's really not one across-the-board "point of stupidity" answer. Depends on the method or synth. There are many.

But, yeah, as gottagogo suggested, general ignorance kills the cook.

Flamable fumes in a confined space with an ignition source will explode and can be avoided easy, no explosive compounds are involved.

Meth lab operators are high on meth when "cooking" and might create poison meth!

Well to answer you question there are lots of points where explosions could happen while making meth.(I just looked at all the totse reviews).But most of them are when you place lithium strips in your rinse agent. Some people when using anyhydrous are dumb enough to cap it into screw end pvc pipes and place the dry ice in there. Pressure will build and then pop the pipe causing shrapnel. I have heard of some stories where the rinse agent has leaked and caught a car on fire en route to a tank or from one while the driver or acomplice was smoking.

its not a napalm bomb with a lil varation it could however be called a nitrogen bomb because one of the creaters blew himself the fuck up..using a propane tank =...for another thing here is why it was created he was sick of having to make the time find the place etc.. to make it...so he made a way that would be simple and fast and that you can do while driving down the road and if the popo's get on ya throw the shit out keep a replacement of water and pour it in shake it the fuck out throw the bottle and no charge..except littering which is all fucking situations you can keep the bottle and not throw it

wtf is a rinse agent lol you mean ether wtf dude shhh..haha there are a few points where you can explode while makin meth tho...one is if you pour water on your strips haha =) another if the strips get hott cause not enuff ether or cole fuel... then people panic when they see a lil fire...another is those that think cause you put it on the stove to cook you will get better dope... in my personal opinion those are the only ways to explode.....here is how people fuck up...they become to eager and carless...even the best fuck up =)

This is a great post. You are absolutely right in my opinion. The DEA will either use muscle or suck muscle to get these clowns (as well as many others) to do ticks for them. Small time labs are a death trap. They produce lethal dope. Whatever. Media hype.

Some people in this world just shouldn't be handling flamable liquids.
