Hi everyone after doing allot of running around I didn't trust any of the drain cleaners I found. So I went home researched for awhile and found out you can get pure sulfuric acid called Electrolyte that you use when trying to extend your car battery life for a little while longer. You can get it at any automotive parts store. Your suppose to mix it with distilled water. But in this case wouldn't I want to use the pure stuff right out of the bottle????

Well considering you didn't tell us what your intended use was No it won't work. Battery acid is very weak.

You know there are some drain "openers" out there claiming 93% purity considering sulferic acid can only be one most "economical way" to produce sulfuric acid it might be correct to assume its the same stuff as the chem stores 93% and therefore can be fractionally distilled to near perfection. ofcourse I am just going on assuming its the same production method. hope this helps in any way it can.

no blacksheep the stuff you get from supply houses is like 98% pure and most drain cleaners may be 93% but most of them have some sort of organic matter in them..

and to awnser the other guys question i would not use the elctro . for any thing but batt's..

Well i haven't tried it but i'm sure it will work.I've havent had the problem not being able to find sulfric but if youre setting with 33% sulfric then what is the rest of the equation 67% water? try some form of evap or distil get the water out.

I'm sure your % of sulfric will get higher.
