^^ i think it was teh 02 honda s2000 where at redline the pistons were moving faster than an f1 cars. after that year they dropped the redline some and tuned the engine for a little more low-mid...

yes i was refering to the speed the piston is traveling in a linear fasion. i am quite aware that an f1 racecar revs much higher than any factory automobile.
