my cb is old. it dont say tx# on the frunt it says [cb143] and has 23 channels.anything cool i can do to this one?

Theres a 95 percent chance you can get it to go out of band and have some extra channels.

Just depends if it's PLL or Crystal controlled, and what PPL chip it's got.

If it's an 858 or an 02A then you can squeeze up to 500 channels. The only limitation is the VFO in 27Mhz can only be tuned to about 1Mhz wide with stability.

Exactly what make is it? The model is a cb143 but who is the unit made by?

I know how to mod most PPL's off the top of my head, but i need to know who makes it so i know what PLL it has.
