i was watching that x-men evolution shit and magneto ahd gambit be one of his goons. withc was compleatly gay, because he didnt even have his trench coat. so just wondering, who was your favorite?

My old school X-Men experience is limited to a couple random cartoons and the Sega video game. Personally, I like Gambit. His duster and playing cards was pretty cool.

besides the major characters that everyone liked i always liked:

Arch-Angel, Omega red, and Cable

Night Crawler, a favorite since I was little.

and aslo does anyone know where i could find the original x-men on dvd or vhs?

I really started to get into Cable just before I stopped reading comics (a bit after the whole Age of Apocalypse thing... Got too ghey with all the AoA characters in the real continuity), which was when he was starting to lose control of the TO virus.

Wolverine, of course, is the best character ever, though.

Juggernaught, cause he is a hard sod. Not strictly an X-man i know but who cares.

That blue guy. I think he looked like a wolf or some shit. I liked him 'cause he looked big and unhumane but he was well spoken and intelligent. Heh.

man, your top three is the same as mine, but the order goes... wolverine, gambit, nightcrawler.

gambit forever, i also liked beast and cable, if cable was the guy i think he was. was he from the future if it is he was cool.

by the way are there any websites that have the old X-man comics on them i have been looking for one for a long time.

I thought that Professor Xavier's abilities were cool, but I didn't like him as a character.

u know Cerebro didn't kill people in the original comic book, and i assume this is what we're talking about. also xavier is a pansy and wouldn't kill people. plenty of people have tried to kill him, he never retaliates. that is why he's not a cool character. i'm not saying he's a bad character, i like him and the comic would suck a bit without him. but still, he's not cool.

1st is definetly wolverine from the moment i first saw x men i knew he was the best. Then for second its a 3 way tie:

Iceman

Jean (dark phoenix) <cuz the phoenix is so awesome.

You'd have to define "original character", since the original crew was Beast (w/o blue hair), Cyclops, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Iceman (silly snowman look), Angel (Archangel before Apocalypse bastardized him), and Xavier as their leader.

A lot of the so far mentioned characters came a few years later at the least. Most noted probably was Gambit, and he's from the late 80's I think.

first is gambit. after all a man that is a master thief and loves poker is a cool muther fucker.

seconed is wolverine. this guy well slash the hell out of you and you could cut him but it would only make him more pissed.

and finally nightcrawler. look at him always misunderstud becuase he looks diffrent then everybody else and yet he fights to help those who redacule him.

gambit was my favourite and is still high on the list. nightcrawler kicks ass. right now id say archangel is coolest just cuz of his fuckin name. colosuss is fuckin awesome too. Xavier is cool cuz he doesnt give a shit what others think he does the right thing.iceman is cool. oh yeah and beast rocks cuz hes so fuckin smart and shit. also i always liked quicksiver for some reason though hes not really originally an xmen.

1. Nightcrawler was just cool. He was really heroic in a non-annoying way and his swashbuckling was just more stylish than most other characters combat based powers. I read every issue of Excalibur, and there were some great issues were he led the team because Captain Britain was being a drunk dipshit and knocking his girlfriend around. (Britains premier superhero - and he's a bloody misogynist! Cheers Marvel!)

2. Storm is just a classy chick. Not as whiney as Jean, not as bratty as Jubilee, not as sexually frustrated as Rogue and not such a crappy little flatscan as Moira. And the fact that Halle Berry played her in the movies means my hormones are unanimous on this one.

3. Cyclops is a dork, there is no arguement about it, but I just like the guy. You know that when the chips are down (whatever that means) there is a solid guy with a solid power backing you up. I like him because every team needs that kind of natural leader.

Wolverine ought to make this list, I limited myself to top 3, or I'd sit here all day and think of little else and get fired.

Gambit will never make the list, he was a cool character, but all the stories based around him were just too whacky.
