Living in Australia doesn't make it easy when you try to acquire materials. Pretty much the most explosive things I can buy down the street here are sparklers, matches and petrol.

Luckily enough I was able to purchase four shotgun shells off of a friend. I haven't been able to or am not smart enough to identify the powder, but its very thin and silver - no dust or anything; so I'm guessing that it's smokeless powder as opposed to black powder.

I was going to buy some sparklers for extra powder to fill a 6 inch (height) plastic tube air tight and capped at the top with a fuse (sparkler) drilled through the top. I'll try and cover the whole thing with duct-tape to increase the pressure.

What I'm going to do with the explosive is my buisiness :-) but is there anything I should add or be aware of before lighting the fuse? I don't want to be called "Lefty" after tommorow.

Hmm Ok well here is some advice Use the word "Bomb" here and it will pretty much get your ass flamed. Also geting chems in Australia its not that hard it's alot harder than the US but its still possible. members here live in Australia and they can get chems so I'm sure you can get them too.



Ohhh and just to help you out a bit. Don't fill that pipe all the way up only about 3/4. Also for your first device you shouldn't make anything too big only a few grams 10 or so and use paper casings ie. ( paper tube.)

Using a sparkler for a fuse isn't that dangerious I've never dont it but others have and it works. I would recommend doing a lot of searching and reading on TOTSE and using Google to search for other sites "Beware tho you will get a lot of KEWL site but i'm sure you have enough common sence to reconize the Bullshit on tho's sites."

How wide is the 6" plastic tube? If it's thin, you should have the fuse coming out of the side, not the top.

Sounds very interesting, you boys obviously know your stuff. The EXPLOSIVE should be about 6" x 2" although I haven't measured appropriately. I have however come to some new conclusions and have questions to be answered.

- Would adding the shotgun pallets be a smart move, as far as building a far more dangerous explosive goes?

- In what order should I put in the materials; pallets first (at the bottom of the tube); smokeless powder second; extra sparkler powder at the top (because I don’t have enough smokeless to fill the whole tube)?

- That’s about it.

I’m also going to capture this explosive on film and upload it later today, should be fun to watch.

if your going to capture it on film, dont use the pellets. because if you could see it the pellets could hit you. and the sparkler powder will probably just make it burn slower and not work as good so just find a smaller tube.

first off nitrocellulose i find with such a wide fuse hole is bitch to get to rupture a pipe .. i also find that sparklers are a pain in the ass as fuses as they often go out if the hole is to small .. it has to have a little bit of space i find for it to burn through .. and with this you will get what i call the blow hole effect were as the nitrocellulose burns but not fast enough and just makes a fountaina dn blows it all through the top

now if you were to add sparkler powder this would be pointless as sparkler powder will not burn fast enought to cause any thing worth wasting your money on ... other then a pretty fountain .... also depending on the tube you use you could end up with either a melted pvc pipe or a scorched metal tube ..



i think a match haed fuse would be more reliable then a fucking sparkler but thats my thoughs... but in all honesty i don't this this will work and live up to your expectations

and depending on what your using this for we can not really explain how to produce the disired effect



by my weird judgment and your choice of words i beleave you may have read to many text files and is thinking that this stuff will work more then likly constructing a device to cause damage to some one elses property... and more then likly hrt himself in the process ...

but thats my 2 cents worth

P.S assuming your pipe "bomb" does go off then yes adding the "pallets" will produce what i call a salt and pepper effect....

i think we should know what your using an explsoive for, you would get more how to replies than stupid question replies. there was a guy on the E&W he asked about certain explosives and people unknowingly gave him some plans. well later he blew himself up and killed 7 people in mall. i think his name was RC, also was there another guy involved?

And yeah, be careful of your choice of words. Imagine transcripts of these little sessions being read at your trial. Exhibiting a hypothetical curiosity about something is far different, when heard by a jury, than, "I want to build a bomb" or whatever.

Well, if you do attempt do make this again, then as warweed said, the sparkler fuse is a bitch to use because of the big hole, so I recomend using a "blackmatch". It is just a string coated in black powder(or in your case nitro-cotton)and bound to the string with dextrin or water. For more info search "blackmatch" on google.

Just thought I would point this out...there is a blackmatch.com. It is a matching service for negro's. It seems pretty funny to me, right now.
