I'm back from my trip, and due to a lack of pyro/explosives, I've been doing all kinds of stuff. Finaly, I desided to try making copper carbide(I've been wanting to for a while but havent had the time). The reactants used:
1g Copper Carbonate (CuCO3-Cu(OH2))
20ml Ammonium hydroxide
50ml H²O
5g Calcium carbide (CaC2)

.

http://www.angelfire.com/extreme4/john_doe/digphoto1_447.jpg Alowing the excess CC to seperate, the solution was then poured out slowly, and the excss CC was discarded. 50ml H²0 were added to the soulution(I suspect yields would be increased if you were to use less).

to impressive).
I really wanted to get a video of it deflagrating, but I dont know how to upload video. Oh well...
