D!cks are for my friends
Default Quick tnp question

I heated up around 400mL of isopropyl alcohol (99%), and I stirred in the asprin powder as usual, but I normally use acetone; this is my first time using alcohol. Anyway, I then put it in a pan to heat it up. After some of the asa formed, my nose started to pain, and my eyes would water whenever I would walk near it. Does anyone know the gasses that would come off of this? Most of my downstairs now smells terrible, and I was wondering what was making my body do that. Thanks.

It was the alcohol, there was no acetic acid given off, or he would have said it was like vinegar, plus it wouldn't hydrolyse with just alcohol unless he added an acid or base.
