 What do you guys use MEKP for?
I don't really know much about it, just that it's a high explosive made from H2O2, Methyl Ethyl Ketone (M.E.K.), and sulfuric acid. I've heard it can take a lot of heat to set off, and is frequently detonated with a salute as a primairy. So, what do you guys use it for?

It is mainly used to set off HEs such as AN, KClO3, KNO3, or any other explosive that is hard to detonate. It is prefered over AP becuase it is more powerful, and becuase it is much less sensitive than AP.
There are others who make it just like anyone else would make flash powder, and there are also others who make it just becuase they love chemistry. (?)

I noticed that all the websites i've seen that show how to make it, don't show the layers. Just thought that was odd.

It's often hard to make the layers show up in pictures but if you make it right it's easy to see with your eye.
