Re: blakc powder
Most pharmacies carry "Sulfer Dust", but I saw some up at wal mart the other day, so you might take a look up there.
Charcoal can be bought at most art stores as drawing sticks, but are expensive, and when I tried them they didnt work as well as other charcoals. I make my own, since it is pretty much free, and the materials to make it are easy to get. All you have to do if wrap a soft wood of your choice in a few layers of aluminum foil, and throw it in a burning fire for about an hour. You can use a hot plate, but that usually takes longer.

Re: blakc powder
I myself have checked 4 different pharmacies with no luck finding sulfur. Hardware stores might carry it. The ones near me don't stock it but I had them special order me some. If you've got a hardware store that is part of the "Do It Best" chain then you can have them special order you some. There's a bunch of various hardware store chains that are part of it. Look on www.doitbest.com (http://www.doitbest.com) to see if there's one near you.
