 Powder question
Hey Guys,
Just wondering what temperature black powder and flash powder ignite at.
Sorry if this is posted some where else.
I couldn't find anything on it

Um basicaly anything hot will do it NiChrome wire, fuse, match, lighter, punk. But as for the exact temp im not sure however for BP and flash the temp can be diferent depending what type, partical size and amount so its hard to give you a strait answer...

Yep, it all depends on the ratios, the grain size, and how well mixed (or ball milled) the black powder is.

The auto ignition temp of black powder is probably in the 300-600 degree range.

standard flash pan black powder FFFFG ignites at about 292-313 degrees celcuis
as for flash powder i am not sure
i used to have a digital hot plate i stole from the school that you plug in and can adjust the temprature ....
