Default Water Proofing...

Just wondering what the best method of water proofing regular firecrackers is.

I Know at least 3 ways for cobs but the firecrackers and things in the cardboard tubes are a different story.

I'm also trying to think of a way to set a bottle rocket off underwater by modifying it somehow.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think wax may be the best way. Just don't do something retarded like try to coat them in the wax of a candle that is still lit. Probably one of those wax melting things for soaking your hands in wax would be good.

Christ, just use NC lacquer. That's what it's meant for.

Epoxy putty owns all. It's as glorious as liquid duct tape would be... if it existed...

And What about the bottle rockets?

Would That be possible? To have an area for the propellent to escape from but not let any water get in?

Maybe one of those snorkel things so you don't breath in water?

What about putting some really pissweak cover over the hole where the propellent escapes (like one layer of seran wrap maybe), so no water gets in, but when it's lit off the propellent will break through it instantly (and, theoretically, preventing any water from entering because of the force exiting the hole).

Don't bottle rockets already go under water if they are shot in there. Because I know I use to aim them into a pond and they cruise just fine underwater. Then the explode and leave a trail of smoking bubbles. They are cool.

Heh, me and my friends do bottle rockets underwater all the time. But it only seems to work with black cat bottle rockets because they keep water from getting in for some reason, maybe because they are so tightly wrapped. What you do is simply pull off the stick, light and throw into a pond. They will either go fuse end up, report side down, then when the fuse hits the propellant, it shoots down into the water and explodes. I like to call them "Submariners". Be careful though, because sometimes it will float on its side and take off in some random direction.

There is this tape that I use all the time now to waterproof my salutes. It just just like electrical tape, but it is colored red. I just neatly spiral wrap my tubes before making my salutes, and it works all the time.

Well if this helps any. You can use, eggwhite, fingernail polish, NC laquor, white glue works ok, and I have even used superglue before. The best I have found is clear coat or varnish drys in about 15 to 30 mins and you can get a good thick coat in one dip and it also helps strengthing the paper caseings.
