ok, i have flare powder, powdered zinc, iodine, sodium hydroxide, and potasium chlorate. i want to make a powerful explosive, with the smallest amount of chemicals possible, anyone got any suggestions?

You sound like a k3wl, and you're obviously new so I doubt you'll get any help here. Do some research! You don't just grab a few chemicals and post a thread asking how to "make a good bomb from these materials." Backyard Ballistics is not a fucking vending machine for explosives plans.

And by the way this thread is complete and total flamebait.

i can tell you that the flare powder won't do u much good. i'd just burn it all at the same time or mix it in with gas/alcohol and see what happens when u light it as for the others i'm just too tired to think of nething

it won't be a very powerful explosion but u can mix the sodium hydroxide in water about 1:5, pour a little zinc powder in and put a ballon over it for hydrogen. then just take a stick w/a candle on the end to light it. You can use the potassium chlorate for improvised bp but do some friggin research b4 u ask ur question next time

my favorite bomb is ammonium nitrate(kno2) mixed with magnesium extracted from batteries. this stuff is powerful i once blewed up a rabbit.

another good explosive is a pipe bomb with lotsa NailS the bomb chemical stuFF was carbon dioxide and talcum powder it knocked my socks off it did.

holy water and charcoal (black Wo0D)

fe and sulfer extracted from lima beans= this stuff was amazin it rattleded my stepdads windows you can beleive i got a beating for that.

Zinc is primarily a smoke agent.

Iodine..I've personally never touched the stuff and I never shall. Iodine is bad enough on it's own! It stains your skin for days on end, never mind any clothes.

Sodium Hydroxyde...you failed to mention if it is in an Aqueous solution (soda lye or liquid soda).

Posassium Chlorate: Many uses..from flash to colors.

Dump the flare powder, useless.

Find some chemicals compatible with the above listed and you should have some fun...
