Chemically popping tires.
I had posted this in BadIdeas but I was told to post it here thought this isn't remotely a backyard ballistic. I was thinking what corrosive chemicals would be able to eat threw a car tire? The point of this would be discreteness. I was also told possibly sulfuric acid would do the job but would this have to be in it's purest form?
Thanks.

Re: Chemically popping tires.
Ever heard of a nail? Trust me that would be much easier.

^^^^^^
Agreed.
Or get some liquid nitrogen, get it on the tire, then take a hammer and WAM... no more tire.

Re: Chemically popping tires.
I think hes got the idea of poping the tire with out someone linking it to him or something. I cant think of anything that would go through rubber. You could put kmno4 and glycrine togther under the tire and in about half a min it will catch fire and melt the tire...i duno

Re: Chemically popping tires.
Yeah, rubber is rather hard to disolve in anything.
I vaguely remember somewhere that carbon disulphide might dissolve it, no idea where you would get that though.
Acetone, alcohols, most mineral acids, probably all organic acids and water (obviously) will be useless most likley.
Realy, heat, explosive or a sharp pointy thing would be much easier.
