Starting Out
I would like to start in the hobby of pyro-ism. Like every other teenager my age, I've played with firecrackers and smoke balls, but I'd like to make some thing real cool. I read some where that modle rocket engines contain BP, is this true? If so once I obtain the BP how what should I do to make a slute? (Yes, I have read the textfiles on TOTSE, but I'm not sure if they're some crazed kewls ramblings)
Peace Out

Re: Starting Out
One of the Best Sites That Has Yet To Be Topped (http://www.krimzonpyro.com)
(Heh Rat)
Uhhh start out with the 50:50 KNO3 (Pottassium Nitrate)(Stump Remover) (Saltpetre) and Sugar Mixture for a white smoke bomb.
Also, look into BP manufacture. Once you feel that you have a firm grasp on this, move into the other LE's, such as Flash Compositions.
DO NOT GO STRAIGHT INTO HE'S!!!
And, there is like 50 more posts like this, just look back, and you will find them.
You have actually posted one of the actually "nicer" posts. Damn Assclowns (k3wLs).

Re: Starting Out
Try and learn all that you can. Start off with relatively safe materials and items and enjoy yourself.
Try these sites for good information:
http://www.krimzonpyro.com/main.shtml
http://www.wecreate4u.net/dwilliams/top.html
I'd recommend that you steer far clear of any hi explosive compounds. You can have lots of fun with BP and a few other compositions. Dan Williams' site is amongst the best on the 'net for the beginning pyro. Lots of high quality images, step by step instructions, and a whole wealth of info. about basic pyro techniques.
Krimzon Pyro is also extremely good, and when you are ready to experiment with higher enegy materials, is a great source.
Take your time, learn, enjoy yourself, learn, and remember this isn't a race.

Re: Starting Out
you can use casings from small fountains. (if you kept any)I like to use the casings from ground blume flowers. Or you can make your own, here is EP's site, http://krimzonpyro.com/ep/projectsdevicesdir/basicsalute.html
and another one, http://www.roguesci.org/theforum/showthread.php?s=3ed5ee48eb01e1555c91118e668738ad&threadid=454&highlight=casings
maybe those will help.

Re: Starting Out
Thank you guys for the help. I never plan on m aking any HE's due to the fact they would most likely blow up in my kitchen. Krimzon Pyro looks great. Thanks again.
