ok i made some h3 last night with potassium chlorate and charcoal. it was 75/25 by weight and when i lit it it burned really slow. it took about 2 or 3 seconds for only 1/4 teaspoon of it to burn all th way. my freind made some the same way, but it burned way faster. does all h3 burn this slow and can it work in small firecrackers?

Try mixing better.

If you have good enough confinement than yes, it will work in small salutes.

What kind of charcoal are you using?

How fine are the materials? I only ask because that makes a HUGE difference. Also, the other suggestion is, as Jakal said, to mix the chems better, that also has a very big effect on proformence.

It's a bursting charge.. I think it would be more powerful than BP but I don't have any facts to back it up.
