In your opinion, what is the best size tube for making a true M-80 ???

Diameter, Length and wall size ??

Thats one of the greate things about m-80s, their is no "true" size.

Hmm... then what size do most of you prefer to use then?

And the bigger the tube = the more flash powder used = M-100 (right?)

Imho, UN's Beffy m-80 tubes (Now called: 1-3/4" Tubes) Are the best. Here (http://www.unitednuclear.com/tubes.htm) is UN's Tubes page. And yeah, the bigger the tube, the more flash you can put in it.

Yea they look pretty good, I just ordered 72 of them for $15 plus shipping.

But I think I am going to buy the bulk of them from skylighter, for $30 for 500 of them (about the same size).

Yes,there is a true size for them. It was about a half inch inner diameter, and about 1 and a half inches long. They were silver with a hot glue like end plug. I have access to a bag found on my grandpas farm. Un used to sell them at this size but doesnt anymore.

Those classic tubes were my favorite. Thankfully cannonfuse will be selling them soon.

i have a bunch of old cakes lying around, so i take them apart and cut the tubes in half.

Yea, but if you get them off skylighter, you'll save a bunch of money... for the same quality stuff.

Ill just stick to cannonfuse.com, since they dont keep records and cannonfuse is much simpler.

Yea, I guess the records thing is kind of a minus, but the prices... the prices are alot better then cannonfuse. Like half off (or something to that effect).

Anyways, I'll be getting my tubes sometime between tommaro and friday of this week, along with all my other chemicals, and fuse, etc.

I actually just got my scale today, and it is perfect for what I need it for. Can't wait to get to the real stuff now, the chems that is.
