Well, it has come to my atention that I actually need to have one of these when mixing chemicals http://66.227.101.70/contrib/anym/behead.gif
So I was wondering what kind do you all recomend? I am not looking for anything fancy, and only looking to spen $30-50 on one... I am willing to buy one used off ebay or something.
So any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.
Edit: Oh yea, I found oz and gram versions of the scales, which one is best for me (a begginer), who is trying to make flash powder and black powder?
And can anyone tell me what the 3 original weights are? I am getting confused lol.

I don't know what you mean by "original weights", they might be the weights moved along the rails to balance the scale, but, again, I really don't know.
What I do know, is that you should go for the metric(gram) scale. The metric system makes much more sense, and nearly all pyros are using the metric system already. It'll be easier to understand their instructions without converting metric to standard.

I highly doubt you will find a triple beam scale for $30 or $50 (snickers.)

Get a digi (digital scale) accurate to 1/10th gram, they're floating all over ebay.

My last electronic scale broke.I was really pissed off. That does seem like a good deal if your looking for someting thats not digital. Acually those are one of the more common scales around.IMO all highschools schools have them.

Re: Purchasing a triple-beam balance scale
I have the MX200 and it's almost perfect for flash, I'm sure any other scale that's accurate to 1 gram or preferably .1 grams will be just fine.
