Okay, I need Mg powder, which is better; Pyrotek's or Firefox's? Is either coated?

Ive never ordered magnesium powder from any of those companies, so unless someone else around here has you will probably just have to ask them yourself. Whenever I need it I just make my own.

Witch mesh size are you going for? If your going for the 600-1000 mesh from Pyrotek, get that. It makes KILLER flash.

Yeah... I guess that could work. I need it for a test metal powder fuel/air device similar to a flashbang device.

You can use magnalium for good flash cant you? i think it would be a hell of alot easier for home production if you just made magnalium, i bet 5 hours in a good ball mill would get you ridiculous amazing mesh's.

Most likely is it coated, seeing how reactive magnesium is toward water, and air contains water vapor.
