Building a catapult, need suggestions
I need a Catapult that will be able to loft no more then 15 LBS as far as possible. I got a pile of 2x4 and 4x4, as well as 2x6. as well as some springs and hinges. Any Suggestions to make this work best as possible?

Re: Building a catapult, need suggestions
actually this has gotten me interested, i cant be of much help but you can use a spring or tension catapult or a catapult that uses a large weight to propel the projectile.

How can one not have heard of such a wonderful weapon of war?
Simple concept. There's a lever. A big weight on one end, a sling on the other end.
Put object in sling. Hoist weight. Drop weight.
ermm...just search google for "trebuchet"

Re: Building a catapult, need suggestions
Here (http://www.ripcord.ws/plans/plans.html) are plans for building at tennis ball trebuchet. You could change it to fit your needs.
This (http://andy.trebuchet.com/trebuchet_plans.htm) page also has trebuchet plans further down the page, past the story.
Here (http://www.trebuchet.com/plans.html) is the plans page from Trebuchet.com (http://www.trebuchet.com)
Also, this would get better responses from DIY and maybe Weapons and Combat.
