Might be a stupid question, but is AP illegal to posses? I live in UK.

I have all the shit to make it with, I've even built a shield(I hope wood's OK). Will I go down if i get caught with it?

Yes, if you are found in possesion of a primary high explosive like AP then you are in trouble, and lots of it.

Maybe there are a few exceptions, but my understanding is that if you are caught making/possesing/using almost any homemade explosive(with the exception of BP I think)(HE or LE) then you are in trouble. With LEs you will probably get in a little less trouble, but with HEs....you are screwed.

The cops were looking at a 16 year old (me) who was in possession with 5lbs worth of BP and countless other strange chemicals and didnt really care (live in suburbs,I never said anything about making "BOMBZ"). Never ever say you've made any kind of explosive then they will get on your ass like white on rice. You can only smoooth talk them so many times... (i've done it about 3 times )

Speaking with them, it turns out that you can do annything that a scholl or college can do, but NOTHING MORE! even holding 'bomb making equipment' is a serious offence, even with alternate reasons for owning the indervidual items.

So basically be real careful, especially with the current climate as being 'suspected of involvement with terrorism' is an offence which gives you no actual rights, hate to get caught up in it myself! Whether it's 1 gram or 1 kilo, making such substances can be seen as aquiring the ability to produce such chemicals in a batch of any size so it is still pretty bad (although i'm sure you stand to be in mre trouble the more you have).
