A little idea...and it works!
Ok in my spare time away from totse I and a few of my freinds have been experimenting with aerosol cans.We have discovered that the can travells far when it is pierced and the gas is lit so we got 2 1/2" wide and 4 feet long pvc piping and a 30 degree angled pipe that is the same width as the other pipe so we put the 2 together and there instant fun!Sget your piping and your deoderant and put the can in pipe so half of the can is sticking out pierce the can light the gas and the can shoots down the pipe and out of the angle and there you have it a rocket when you dont have any rockets!.And if your lucky when the can is in midair it should explode!

Re: A little idea...and it works!
It wont explode in the pipe if you light it fast enough like within a second or two of piercing it.

Re: A little idea...and it works!
well maybe you could put some napalm on the can and light it and shoot it with a bb gun, less dangerous.

AHAHAHAHA ROTFLMAO!!!!!
*whew* that was a good one. Anyway most people think napalm is just styrofoam and gasoline. You dissolve the styrofoam until the gas gets like a thick syrupy texture. I believe the military uses Aluminum Potassium Sulfate and some kind of petrol for their napalm, but I am not sure...

Re: A little idea...and it works!
Military Napalm is a mixture of benzene (21%), gasoline (33%), and polystyrene (46%).
EDIT:
however, military has taken it out of their arsenal http://www.mindfully.org/Plastic/Napalm-Recycled.htm

Re: A little idea...and it works!
Lighting the aerosol is pointless, since it will creat no more thrust than spraying it over a lighter, and I dont think the pressures inside would be enough to propel it more than 30 feet. It is also very dangerous like other said. Just stick to candy rockets.

Re: A little idea...and it works!
If you've ever filled 2-3L plastic coke bottles with isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) fumes and lit it, you'd see really how dangerous it would be if the flame managed to get inside the can. If the opening is restricted, it burns much faster and whistles because the heat causes the oxygen in use to be compressed and be more accessible to the fuel. The pressure in the can can only last so long at the certain point where the flame is continually repelled from entering, when it drops below that you're in serious trouble if you're anywhere near it.

Absolutley! But by law they have to keep it in the back, so what you do is, just walk into your local hardware store or drug store and just walk up and ask them if they have any napalm. Sometimes they like to play around with you and say they don't have it but just tell them to cut the shit out and go get it. They have it, trust me. Just keep bugging them.

It creates lot of thrust especially when you pierce a butane or propane container. It creates enough thrust to propell the container at least 25 to 35 feet or more if you launch it over a steep hill which I did and it went out onto the main road and hit the fencing and thats a LONG way

What Rat was saying about the napalm was probably true,I havent tried it but if you search E&W they might have something I havent been there in a while so you might find something hopefully really good.Dont try the gas+polystiryne its really crap but good for rookies.

Re: A little idea...and it works!
Peirceing the can will give you thrust, but lighting the fuel will only give added effects. Unless you have a nozzel, lighting the fuel will not give any thrust.
