Default flash and firecrackers

i read on some website i think it was krimzon pyro that if u need flash, firecrackers arent really a good source for it because it is weaker than actual homemade flash. if firecrackers have flash in them how can it be weaker than normal homemade flash?

Ever take apart a fire cracker only enough powder to cover you pinky nail is in there. The rest is sawdust and clay thats one reason. Also they use crappy chemicals thats another possibility.

There's more than one type of flash. Most of the home made flash you here about is 70/30(a mixture of 70% Potassium Perchlorate and 30% of at least 400 mesh Al powder. The 70/30 mixture is more powerful than firecracker flash and one of the most powerful flash compositions. The only downside is that it's exspensive to make.

That's why firework companies use the cheaper but weaker flash compostion. Most likely the composition is a nitrate oxydised, fueled with a low mesh Al, flash.

you can take the flash out of ground blooms or out of the larger gyro bloom. It's not the best flash but there's a lot in them.

Don't advertise. You don't act like a newbie, so don't sweat it.

I've noticed something with the "thunderbomb" small firecrackers. I lit off one with a blowtorch that was about 2 years old and it detonated QUITE impressively for a shitty 50 mg of flash i think maybe some class C firecrackers get more powerful and sensitive with age.

People seem to underestimate those blackcats, becuase I remember blowing an apple to shreds with one after digging the core out.

Empting firecrackers used to be my source of flash powder, and even though it worked realy good, it took about 30 minutes to empty enough flash powder to make 1 M-80, when it takes 2 or 3 minutes to mix enough flash powder to make about 50. If you are going to empty firecrackers out for flash powder, go for the ladyfingers. The flash in them is much more powerful than the bright aluminum based flash powder in 1 1/2 blackcats.

I guess it has to be seeing as how the ladyfingers don't appear to have as tight of confinement as the blackcats.
