What's the deal with them checking their e-mail?? I emailed them days and days ago with what I would like and a scan of my hold-harmless and license, but still no response.

EDIT: Well, they've finally responded... in all caps... the staff (or is it just one person) must be pretty tired.

United Nuclear is only a few people... Probably no more than 3.

Since DP is so cheap, they probably have a lot of emails to read, and a lot of stuff to pack and ship.

I just ordered from them a few days ago also. Emails have usually had a 1-2 day wait, but that's not horrible. The all caps emails are pretty damn aggravationg however...

I'm actually planning to light up my neighborhood on the 4th. Thermite burns with a nice white flame, very bright. So my idea is to put 10 kg of thermite on a high stand and wait for nightfall.

why do i have the feeling if all goes as planned the "party" will be so big every one in town will come over to watch it, and even the fire department will have trouble keeping the "party" under control. -btw substitute fire for party-. well i think youd have more common sense to do it right and maybe you could add in some strontium nitrate or Mg but i dont know how bright thermite burns. though i know a road flare in pitch black is bright as hell (cause of the strontium nitrate) (it involved trying to set off a spray paint can with a road flare, just got flames). anyways id like to hear how your gonna go about this cause it sounds cool.

Well, the thermite will be on four ~1 cm thick aluminum plates (angled so that if the thermite burns through it will simply go straight down) about 7 meters above a large pit of sand, which will also surround the "tower" the thermite will be on. There will be a small powdered magnesium/KCl04 charge to set the whole thing in motion, and since thermite burns blindingly in the noon sun, the neighborhood will first be treated to daylight breaking at 10pm, then to a nice orange glow for some time, as the molten iron will be smoldering for a while. ...and to think, my 59-year-old father is helping.

I been E-mailing discount pyro for about 3 weeks now to get some info and i havent gotten 1 damm reply from them at all. I want to order from them insted of U.N but i wont till they get back to me. Im going to mail them one more time to see if they do respond to me if not then i going to try some place else. does anyone else have this problem latley with them, and also has anyone orded from Pyrostuff.com and are they good to order from they seem to have decent prices on the few chems they have but those are the chems i mostly need for now.
