Is speaking out against Islam Racist?

I wonder how our PC worshipping residents view ex-Muslims who have left the religion and not only have they left the religion but are some of the more vocal and vehemently anti-Islam advocates out there?

People like Hirshi Ali, a Somali born woman turned Dutch Politician who is now in hiding because of her astute commentary on Islam. Is she racist then? Or a bigot?

How about Ibn Warraq? He writes under a pseudonym because he doesn't want to get killed by whacko Islamists. He's well known for his books on Leaving Islam, is he a bigot and a racists too?

I remember right after 9/11, an entire several weeks of school was a devoted to a newly implemented cirriculum teaching us that Islam was "a religion of peace."

What bullshit. Over in Middle Eastern countries, schools teach how to fucking hate us (if not kill us).

Many people bash Christianity, and last time I checked Christianity didn't consist of insane manipulation and far-fetched acts of violence.

Its not racist because Islam is a religion, not a race. Its essential that everyone see Islam for what it is, an organized crime and fascist system that seeks to take over the world and enslave everyone. Muslims in the west that appear to be good are trojan horses which ultimately help extremists achieve their evil plans of destroying humanity.

No evolution taught in school(prayer is taught instead).

No gays allowed.

People can freely buy machine guns from market(no gun laws).

Emphasis is placed on the "traditional" family.

Abortion will never be legal.

Taxes are very low and liberals will never get elected.

Conservatives should thank liberals for pulling them out of the very backwardness they perpetuate yet disdain(when it's arabs doing it). Hell, American women only gained the right to vote less than a century ago.

Islam is simply the result of increasingly effective religious propaganda, like a psychological virus that evolves to become harder to treat. Look at the path of the Abrahamic religions. Judiasm->Christianity->Islam.

Judiasm is an ethnic religion. By definition they don't try to aquire converts. But they have done well at insulating themselves. Promise of heaven, God chosen people are effective tools.

Christianity was a huge breakthrough. Go forth and convert, not only will God like you more, but you're actually doing the other person a favor. Inclusion of hell adds a terror-zest to the promise of heaven. Only real problem is that there's a dissonace between Old and New Testamants, and it's pretty up in the air if violence to convert is acceptable.

Then comes Islam. The psychological bondage to God Judiasm started is perfected. Heaven gets better. Hell becomes somewhat less of a scary thing. Converting by any means is clearly defined as acceptable.

Really Christians, don't be hating Islam just because it's a more effective plague on humanity than you are.

I think it's rather simple. All three of the religions have their violent parts in their respective holy books, including Judaism and Christianity. And Christianity has a bloody and violent past. But, then came the Enlightenment and the mainstream view of reading the Bible in a literal way gave way to Biblical minimalism. During the Enlightenment things such as reason, logic, democracy, etc. were developed (republicanism in America is a great example). Since then, European and Christian society has been largely governed by these secular Enlightenment ideals.

The Jews went through something similar called Haskalah.

The Islamic faith, with it being the youngest of the three Abrahamic faiths, has not gone through any such revolution of ideas or Enlightenment. Look at the Muslim world and you see that they live in a backward culture: equality, democracy, women's suffrage, reason, etc. hardly exist and a very conservative reading of the Koran is the overwhelming way Islam is practiced in the Mid East.

Bush thought that this Muslim Enlightenment could be sparked by creating a democracy in Iraq. Obviously he was wrong; the path to Hell is paved with good intentions. The liberalization of Islam will have to come from within the people in that region and until that happens we will have to deal with Islamic terrorism and extremism.

Like what was said, the school's there are very westernized. Except maybe in places like Palestine... maybe they teach the kids that the Jews and American's are the devil.

It's pretty well documented that schools, especially the madrasahs, in nations like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc. preach anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism and anti-Christianity.

Yes, this is true. Madrasas educate children for free. So, usually the poor children get indoctrinated into messages of hate against Israel and the US. And like Aero says, it is well-documented. The textbook in madrasas is solely the Qu'ran and the imam is the teacher. Madrasas are big in countries like Pakistan.

What others have said about the "westernized" schools maybe true for the rich children that live in countries like Qatar and UAE. But that's only 1% of the Middle East. Most of the Middle East is poor and lives in Islamic strongholds.
