I have become a Scientologist.

I know a lot of you will make fun, and call me stupid, but I don't care.

Scientology helps me cope better in every day life.

A lot of things about this is stero-typed.

The aim of scientology is a civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights.

We seek no revolution. We seek only evolution to higher states of being for the individual and for society. We are achieving our aims.

Nonpolitical in nature, Scientology welcomes any individual of any creed, race or nation.

A lot of things help people cope better with life. That, unfortunately, does not make them more worth believing than other things.

I hope you enjoy being in debt the rest of your life and paying nearly 300,000 dollars to walk the bridge. Or is that just part of coping with life's problems instead of facing them?

The stero-typed aspect of scientology stating that you must spend all this money is bullshit.

You can spend money to help you in certain things in your live, not to follow the religion.

Nothing is free, even bibles cost money usally, and what you get in scientology for your money is so much more than the bible, which just tells you what to do. Not advise.

I don't know where to begin. Basically, I heard you say in order to help yourself with problems in your life you need to give money to Scientology so you can have an audit or whatever. So much for thinking for yourself I guess. Maybe seeing this will remind you of how that's done.

Sounds good, and by what means is scientology stopping criminals and war, how is it helping people prosper, and how does it maintain peoples rights?

I'm yet to see scientology bring people to higher states of being, or aid society in anyway.

Scientology should back up its claims using science, should it not?

Then why have most of the claims scientology makes been refuted?

No religion is any better or worse than any other. What works, works. God is a very big target, and is very hard to miss.

Stil, I feel impelled to point out--spirituality is free.

Scientology makes Mormonism look like the revealed word of God...

Now that's saying something.

What about people that think L.R. Hubbarb was a megalomaniac/liar and Scientology is a cash-pyramid-scam? Can I join? Or will my beliefs prevent me from joining?

This is a serious question.

Why not?

I hope you enjoy being in debt the rest of your life and paying nearly 300,000 dollars to walk the bridge.

If it's his choice, he's not looking at it as a debt. That's the first indication that you know nothing about Scientology.

Or is that just part of coping with life's problems instead of facing them?

Coping with lifes problems is facing lifes problems. He's just doing it in a different way you are.

Hard to imagine, isn't it?

Cheers,

This is a serious question.

Scientologys's view on god is that it is a personal thing, therefore scientology does not well care to be frank if you believe in a god or not.

Anyone can be a scientologist, you don't have to pay money etc.

If you are not a scientologist and would like help in spacific things like, being able to achieve better in the arts, or overcoming drugs, then you can spend money on a certain package. I have bought one of these about dianetics and for what I got was well worth the price.

These things can't come free. It's not like a bible. Ministers need to earn money, and so does the church.

You can always go to a scientology church, free and to anyone of corse.

I recomend checking scientology out.

I happened upon the book Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought (Which is basicly what scientology is, it cost $6.00) one day in a bookstore, stayed up all night reading it and my life has not been the same since. I immediately saw how I had a problem relating to others in many cases, and with the materials Ron Hubbard presented in the book I was able to improve the way I deal with other people which has made them and me a lot happier.

By the way I look at the world, and how I should act in responce to sociaty for e.g.

If you're serious about this, don't waste all your money buying stuff from the Church of Scientology. The stuff is out on the Internet, although I've heard it can be hard to find. The Church of Scientology goes after the celebrities for a reason...

I have to say that the movie was a very piss-poor rendition of the book. The book, as best I can recall (I read it 20 + years ago), wasn't really that bad.

I don't mean to get in the way, but exactly what knowledge did they pass on - referring to the "package" you bought about dianetics.
