Alright, I have been thinking a lot about Morals. I have come to a few conclusions.

1. Morals are not a given thing, they are learned from life. As you get older you develop them. Religon is how most people recieve them.

Now, I have no problem with that, but its when you believe in it with all your heart, and you are not willing to sacrafice some of your morals to try new things.

2. People like to impose their morals to make judgements.

First off, Didn't God or someone say that you are in no position to Judge people because, everyone sins? Am I wrong about that?

Second, I have problems with Religous figures. I went to church when I was small. There is this pastor there who I remember. Three weeks ago, I was talking to my grandmother at Bob Evans, and I was told that he had an affair with a woman from the congrigation. This had been going on for 16 years. I think this is the point that I lost faith, the fact that someone who was held in such high regard could cheat on his spouse, He also had children While this affair was going on.

3. People say one thing and do the other.

I was told not to drink, do drugs, lie, cheat, or steal. Some of my best friends/ most amazing people I have met on drugs, I met a lot of them on Acid, stoned, rolling, at a hookah bar, and its these people I trust, and they trust me.

Mainly the thing that has been bothering me the most are people who tell me how I should live, because they have experienced SOOO much. PSH is what I say. Your experiences are yours, not let me live my way, as long as I don't hurt other people.

No. Jesus' message was to not judge unless you are prepared to be judged. We must judge people all the time. Should I hire that person, fire him, marry her, send him to jail, etc.

People generally share their experiences with you out of love, because they have been where you are and don't want to see you make mistakes that they may have made or have seen others make. You should listen to people sometime, you might learn something.

I agree with what Martini said, your true friends, the ones who love you, wouldn't want to see you destroy your body on drugs or do tremendously idiotic things that endanger yourself. The ones who really love you might just be the ones you are running from, the ones who say "no, you shouldn't do that" the ones who don't want to see you hurt in any way so that they might try to stop you. Your true friends aren't druggies who harm their own body and let you harm your body, they aren't friends to themselves obviously, how can they be friends to you?

A true friend will judge you, will not say "whatever he wants", but will say "No! Stop It! I don't want you to hurt yourself! You shouldn't do drugs! You gotta take it easy! Stay away from bad places, bad people!" You might not want to hear it, so you surround yourself with people who truly don't care about you or love you, they simply use you as company and vice versa, but they don't love you, they don't seek with all their heart to protect you, no matter how you may hate it, to try to preserve you and keep you safe.

Find some real friends, you may hate them, they may not say "whatever" and let you do all that you want, but if they try whatever they can in their power to keep you safe, and in the right, they are your real friends. People who let you do whatever you want and "don't judge" are not your friends, nor are druggies who hurt their bodies and allow you to hurt your body your friends, they are enemies, to yourself and themselves.

Jesus meant that you are held to the same standards that you judge by.

I can call hellfire and brimstone on that pastor because of his infidelity because I dont cheat. See what I mean?

Also, its pretty simple of you to denounce an entire religion because of one person. Hell, a large group of Muslims are killing people every day yet there are still over one billion of them.

In response to abrahim. i sort of agree with you but being around people you hate is no way to live your life. i find that its best when you learn from your own mistakes, experience new things and then when they fuck you over youre going to say "holy fuckin shit, im never gonna do that again!" i think its alright to have people tell you that you should or shouldnt do something but never should they blatantly keep you from doing something just because they had a bad experience. if you dont let a person learn on his own then they never really learned at all. i say let everyone learn how to deal with things on by themselves but with a small amount of guidance from others.

I think if someone I know is acting like a retard, and I explain to them that they are acting like a retard and to stop, that I am doing them a good service.

So then, if you judge according to low standards, then you will be judged according to the same low standards?

Yea... Thats a pretty moronic way to look at it, nonetheless.

A highly evolved person will emulate God in that he judges no one, but loves and accepts all.

After all, we are all one.

But do remember, there is a huge difference between judging and evaluating. If I decide not to ride in a car with someone driving who is drunk, I am not judging the driver in any way--just deciding that he is not safe to ride with.
