Why am i a christian

Ive been thinking alot about my Religion and why i Believing it. Im 17 and had some DEEP thinking about why im a Christian.

Id like to say that i have a strong believe in god and that he works in mysterious ways, Sadly if i think back to WHEN i started Believing in Christ and stuff it was only cause i was afraid of going to hell. Is my Whole Religious View just based off of Fear? If I Never Herd about hell would i still be praising Christ?

Maybe not fear, certainly ignorance.

Explore philosophy, logic, and many other religions with the same interest as you have put into Christianity so far. Then, if you still feel compelled to follow Christianity, you will be confident that it's because you are well informed and it's truly what you believe.

More or less, but a zealot will tell you its truth.

Its a wonderful ploy and for the most part has gotten christianity to be the most fallowed religion in the world. That and rapidity reproducing catholics.

How can a man be God or even the Son of God when God is far beyond being a Man, and is no one's son and not a father because God is God, not a human.

Why is everyone being such a nitpicking asshole when it comes to christianity? All religion is based off of belief, all religions have some sort of punishment for not living your life a 'moral' and 'good' life as deemed by the religion. I'm not saying religion is correct. What I don't hear anyone touch the surface on, is why someone would commit acts of terrorism as an incentive to die. Because their god told them to, and what they will get is to go to heaven and fuck 13 virgins like animals. WooHOO!!! ELTS BASH CHRISTIANITY AND ANYONE THAT THINKS FOR THEM SELF WON'T BELIEVE THAT STUPID RELIGION WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! You guys are all stupid.

Perhaps it is based off terrorism but it in of itself is not terrorism as Christianity and Islam are in some senses fear of the manifestation of violence which is shown through intimidating revelations, but it is not actually terrorism in that you arent immediately sent to hell everytime you turn away from it.

It's not just Christianity, dude. I have a problem with all religions. But me, and a lot of other atheists on this board, grew up in a Christian dominant society so we understand that religion more than any other and therefore notice more problems within it.
