There's a lot of scientific truths in the Qur'an that are extremely accurate, as explained here.
I don't see how such accuracy would have been possible 1400 years ago, without being some God like power behind it.
Can anyone rationally explain these truths?

A discussion on this subject also appears in "The True Religion" and a little bit in "Interested in Islam? Ask Questions here!"
The Qur'an is one of my favorite books! I love that it includes scientific truths within the text, of which are only being proven in modern times.
The Qur'an claims that the words written are from God, or rather "inspired" which the Qur'an seems to indicate was a sort of posession of Muhammed which made him speak and memorize the words which were transcribed. The word inspired is often related to one simply thinking something but the way in which the Qur'an explains it is that when the Qur'an was coming down or through to Muhammed it was literally as if he was being spoken through, he was told not to even hasten to move his lips, that the words will come through him, which almost seems like a kind of posession. Anyway that's the Qur'an's explanation, that it was the words of God, coming through Muhammed by the messenger Gabriel.
Another explanation could be that Muhammed opened his mind through meditative thought and was flooded with information and truth and inspiration.
A non religious and non spiritual explanation is often that the information was out there or that Muhammed figured it out or made educated guesses, though he was not educated, could not read or write according to the Qur'an.
Some explain that he gained all his insight from his travels as a merchant, but the Qur'an never mentions he is a merchant, that information is from Hadiths, stories written about Muhammed several centuries after his death by people who didn't know anything much about him but were merely invented a history for a figure to which there was little to nothing known about or written about at the time he was living. The Qur'an never says that Muhammed was a merchant but does indicate he was an uneducated orphan who had no knowledge, could not read or write.
