Or anyone in the world for that matter. Is it still practiced? It's basically the same as praying to Jesus, isn't it?

Jesus isn't really like Zeus as much as people image God the Father, Jehova, Yahweh like Zeus in many cases.

By Zoroastru do you mean Zoroaster and why would anyone pray to him?

Well I mean it's similar in the sense that you're praying to a fictional character that someone wrote in a book.

Fictional then is the pivotal word. There is historic proof for Christ. Check the Bible, as well as Josephus and a few other jewish writers. The Bible was written in factual form, giving dates, places, names. It was not written fictitiously. It is also the most documented historical account on record. Making its accuracy very convincing.

Don't breed. You and the rest of your idiot kind are ruining the species. Either that, or look up and then learn your shit first.

What have I said that offends you so? I have researched this topic. It is my job to provide answers to those that are searching. I am not saying I have them all, but please refrain from the attacks on my character and those of my brothers and sisters in Christ. Therefore I would ask you to either tell me what you think is wrong, that I might answer or refute what is said, or at least attack only me and stop generalizing.

So you think all of the bible is true even that wacky old testament?Do you think that a giving dates, places, names make the bible true or just the whole Christ thing.
And could you elaborate on what you mean by "most documented historical account on record"
Giving dates, places, and names does not make some thing accurate. Here's the short story of scientology
75 million years ago, the evil lord xenu placed frozen aliens around volcanoes in hawaii and with an h-bomb.

The quote that is attributed to Josephus that claims Jesus existance in the Testimonium Flavianum is generally considered dubious for many reasons: [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josephus_on_Jesus.] N.B You can't use the Bible to prove the accuracy of the Bible- thats petitio principii, Circular argument which is a fallacy.
So did Homer's Iliad and Ovid's Metamorphoses. Are they therefore "accurate"? One of the proofs of historical accuracy is "comparison with the content of other evidence", since theres a general lack therof of independent evidence then your argument fails.

We owe everything to Hercules, the son of Zeus. How do we know he was really the son of Zeus? He was sort of like Superman.

As part of the Worlds of Difference series, Jon Miller reports on a resurgence of interest among Greeks in their pre-Christian roots. For some, that means taking another look at ancient Greek ideals like reason and democracy. For others it means worshiping the gods of Olympus. Their common adversary: the Greek Orthodox Church.

Jesus is a hellenisation of hebrew 'yeshua' so the name jesus isn't derived from zeus.

Actually, 'yhwh' practically is the indo-european root word for deity so similarites between zues and yahweh make sense. Both zues and yahweh are the supreme male deities god of thunder and mountains.
