I used to be a christian, I was ignorant in my beliefs, I no longer believe in christianity. But there is one thing I did appreciate about it; the bliss of the ignorance. Whenever I was down in my life I could always remember that God was there to bail me out of everything.
Now that I don't really know what to believe in, agnostic I guess, I find that when I get depressed it's a lot worse. I feel like I've chosen the truth: that we have no idea about the greater forces of the universe. And at the cost of truth was my blissful ignorance. I leave things to chance now, I no longer think on the bright-side of life y'know? Everything just seems kind of pointless (not suicidal).
I don't know, I'm not complaining, I'd rather know the truth rather than be controlled by a business, I'm sorry, I meant religion. I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong section or whatever. What does everyone else think? Serious posts only plz.

You can't find yourself until you're lost. Any religion serves some purpose in the investigation but it still all comes back to the individual and the search for truth. There is some comfort to be found here since truth must be the same for everyone. The question becomes how truth relates to God. Thus, how we define God shapes what we can believe out of it. Of course, nobody can define God which is why religions thrive. Some beauty can be found in Christianity even as you discard it. This may not make much sense if you are a three year old Iraqi kid whose life is about to be snuffed by uniformed types who are acting under orders, but don't give up. Maybe there's a reason for that.

If you are confused about life... why not live it to the fullest? And if there is an afterlife, you'd be happy you listened to me. Only when you die will you understand the mysteries of the world. And if there isn't an afterlife, then either way you'd used up your potential to the maximum.
Try it out!

Good posts, I agree with what you guys said. I want to live an eventful life, because who knows, I might spend the rest of eternity out of existence. Then again, maybe not..
