Theres a difference between idiots and the misinformed. Idiots thump the bible the misinformed passively share their beleifs on request.

Why people beleive in religeon in my opinion:

The first concept is its just drilled into your head, your father beleived it and so did his father and it isn't debated so it becomes pseudo-fact in your mind.

The second concept and my favorite is that our minds are far to fragile and weak, to handle a concept of a world without some form of a mentor and or guide a universal father figure we rely on our entire lives. The most defending of thier beleifs tend to fall into this category.

The third which I respect the most is deep feeling that a higher power exists for some reason or another and they just stick with whater religeon is most convieniant.

Ofcourse there are any number of other reasons why I just posted what I come across the most.

Theres nothing wrong with beliving a god exists especially if it helps your daily life but the moment you claim to speak on behalf of him/her/it and tell me how I should live my life your an asshole.
