Default Corrupt Church + Bible = ?

Was the Catholic Church corrupt at some time during the middle ages?

And if so, could that affect the bible in some way, shape, or form?

BAM. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Alexander_VI)

The Vatican has a codex of scriptures from which modern Bibles are translated - a book that predates the Council of Nicea by some two hundred years.

It certainly would change certain Catholic rituals and ceremonies, but any manipulations in the Bible could easily be corrected.

Holy shit.

"Servants kept score of each man's orgasms, for the pope greatly admired virility and measured a man's machismo by his ejaculative capacity. After everyone was exhausted, His Holiness distributed prizes — cloaks, boots, caps, and fine silken tunics."

Yeah, I knew the Borgias were fucked up, but I hadn't realized the extent of the fucked-up-ness.

Yeah, the catholic church was very corrupt. I'm catholic by the way. But, they wouldn't have been able to change the Bible. There would have been non catholic scholars like rabbis or some muslims or others, so even if they changed all the Bibles in their church it wouldn't have worked.

Just like the church couldn't have changes the Old Testament. There are tons of manuscripts. Thusly, Islam is wrong

I don't think they would have even
