A recent conversation at dinner:

Person A: "My boss is nuts! She doesn't believe in a soul! I mean, I'm not a Christian, but at least a believe in a soul."

Person B: "Well, what evidence do you have for a soul?"

Person A: "I don't know."

Person B: "Define soul."

Person A: "I don't know, you can't define it."

Person B: "Then how can you claim it exists?"

Person C: "Well, it's like light. You can't really define it, but it's there, and you know it."

Person B: *insert long-winded argument proving the existence of light and a mathematical definition thereof*

Person C: "Well, why do we have a consciousness?"

Person B: *explains how said phenomenon provides no evidence in support of the existence of a soul*

Person C: *leaves in disgust*

The funniest thing is that T is a die-hard Christian. He volunteers time to Campus Crusade, intends to go on missions, etc. Person C did not know this.

Anyway, to keep this thread on topic, how many of you guys believe in a soul? Most importantly, do you have any reason to do so, or do you just believe what you want to believe?

EDIT: yeah I guess I have a soul, But Its because It sure as hell isn't christian.
