If the Jews rejected Jesus, why was he called King Of The Jews? And why would King Harrah take such offense to that - that it so seriously - that he thought it was neccisary to kill him?

Cheers,

The bible says that the Jews wanted Him to be stated as the man who claimed to be the King of the Jews because this is as they thought. But through his guilt(even though he was betraying Him), Pontius Pilate called him the King of the Jews for he knew it was the truth. The King felt it necessary to kill him because with all monarchies, there is such that if anyone claims to be above them that they are held in treason. But, in fact, they themselves are in treason under the Law of God, for they crucified Christ.

God Bless,

Lou.

Actually, wouldn't they not be affected at all? I mean, going straight from the theology, God has a master plan for the universe. That involved sending Jesus to Earth to get him crucified. In order to get crucified, Judas had to betray him. Jesus, being God, knew about this ahead of time and did nothing to stop it and even accepted Judas before they parted ways. The administrators convicted him, but Jesus knew about this and did nothing to stop it with his divine abilities, as it was part of the plan. Jesus then allowed himself to be nailed to a cross and die after being stabbed at the end of one day, accepting a convert while on the cross.

Now, if everything was pat of a plan for Jesus to get crucified to allow salvation, wouldn't that mean that everyone involved in getting him there would be of equal importance (as part of "the team") and thus be granted salvation by causing the ability for salvation? If free will was really a matter here, then it could not have been a plan that would happen, implying a chance of failure. Going on the thelogy that God is perfect, this would be impossible for him to want something and not receive it. Thus, they were forced and as such, they would be granted salvation for playing a pivotal role. This could also be applied to the negation of the idea of eternal damnation into temporary damnation, but I won't go there.

No. Because they certainly had no idea what was going to happen. The Romans simply killed Him out of obligation, and the Chief Priests handed Him over because He was a thorn in their side. Their role was unbeknownst to them, though agreeably, it was an important one. Aside from this, God judges from the heart, and they certainly weren't crucifying Him to 'take one for the team!' What should they get? A cookie for fulfilling prophecy?

But, as you alluded to, God uses even the wicked to prove that His will be done for the greater good, no matter what anyone try in opposition.

God is outside the time domain, therefore, all that is and will happen, has already been accomplished. To God, your choice has already been made. You have, right now at this very instance, ALREADY have been judged or saved. The kicker of it is, you don't know what choice you made, yet.

I've ready Calvin's works, buddy. No need to act like you're in some sort of secret club. Predestination has been around for quite a long while and we've all had quite the ample time to hear about it.

How did answering your question correlate to me 'acting like I belong to a secret club?'
